Ellenrust Lifestyle Retirement Village is a retirement village in the coastal town of Stilbaai on the Garden Route. According to the home's website, the development consists of 128 plots, a care unit, an administration block and a community hall, with assisted-care units to be released at a later stage, and there are ten house designs to choose from. The first part of the health care centre is complete, and the website describes 24-hour medical care and supervision in the care unit. Frail elderly people who are bed-bound or room-bound are cared for in the frail unit under a qualified nurse, assisted by staff nurses, assistant nurses and auxiliary nurses. Residents who are frail but prefer to stay in their own houses will have the option of home care, with an assessment and a home care package based on their individual needs.
