The HSFA Support Centre is one of two frail care units run by the Helderberg Society for the Aged (HSFA), a non-profit organisation, in Somerset West. The other is Mountview in Swalle Street. The Support Centre is at 121 Lourensford Road. HSFA's frail care service is for older people who need 24-hour care and supervision, and its accommodation costs include all meals, nursing, caring and cleaning. The Support Centre offers shared ablutions with single as well as shared accommodation. It has a specialised wing, Flamingo, caring for people with dementia and other related diseases. Emergency care and day care are also available at the Support Centre for residents of other HSFA units and for older people living in the community. According to HSFA's website, the frail care service has an activities programme that includes chair yoga, biokinetics, movies and sing-a-long sessions.
