Onze Rust Sentrum vir Bejaardes (Onze Rust Aged Care Centre) is a home for older people in Steynsrus in the Free State, halfway between Kroonstad and Bethlehem, part of the Engo group of homes. It has 20 rooms let to residents who can live independently, where every two rooms share a bathroom and residents share a kitchen and a lounge where family can visit; 16 care rooms with 24-hour care for frail elderly people; and 11 one- and two-bedroom apartments for independent residents, with a garage connected to the apartment. Services include meals for residents, help with medication, bathing and wound care, blood pressure and glucose tests and injections, a hairdresser, a library, DStv, at least two activities a week, and transport to Senekal and Kroonstad. A day-care service, with two meals and help with washing, is open to older people in Steynsrus who are not residents. The centre also has two overnight rooms for residents' families. Additional fees apply for some services.
