Kolobe Retirement Village & Wildlife Estate is a sectional title retirement development on a 160-hectare lifestyle game farm, 6 kilometres outside Modimolle in Limpopo. The total number of housing units was reduced from the original 100 to 60. Completion of the development is planned for 2028, according to the village's website. Houses and cottages are sold as sectional title, with maintenance and insurance handled by the body corporate. Each housing unit is equipped with a solar electricity system, a solar geyser backed up by a gas geyser, a gas stove and LED lighting. The village is described as independent of all municipal services. The levy includes weekly refuse removal, 15kL of borehole water usage, garden services, maintenance of the outside of the house, the insurance premium and solar power. The village's website lists a clubhouse, an indoor swimming pool, a care centre and a library. Small pets are welcome, with a maximum of 2 dogs and no cats.
