Ons Herberg Ouetehuis

Ons Herberg Ouetehuis is a non-profit old age home in Bronkhorstspruit, 40 km east of Pretoria. According to the home's website, it was established in the 1970s and describes itself as an assisted care facility with a range of accommodation, including individual flats with their own small gardens and a porch. It also has a frail care unit with 24-hour care and a small Alzheimer and dementia care facility with 14 rooms. The website lists four retirement villages with 136 homes, sold on a life-rights basis where the full amount paid in is refunded when the resident moves out. All residents get 3 meals a day, laundry and cleaning of their accommodation, which is included in the tariff. There is a library and a hairdresser on the premises, an audiologist visits once a month and a physiotherapist does exercises with the residents weekly. The home also offers palliative care until the end of life, and holds two church services a week.
