Robari Lodge is one of two assisted living units run by the Helderberg Society for the Aged (HSFA) in Somerset West, the other being Silver Oaks Lodge. Assisted living at HSFA is for senior citizens who still enjoy their independence and an active and social lifestyle but do not want the responsibility of household chores. According to HSFA's website, both assisted living units are within walking distance from central Somerset West, with access to community amenities and services. At HSFA's assisted living units the rental includes accommodation, all meals, laundry, a weekly cleaning service and an emergency call system. Additional services at the assisted living units include outings, activities and exercises. No nursing care is available at the assisted living units, but each unit has helpers and HSFA's Clinical Services team visits the units regularly. Pre-packed medication is compulsory and staff do not administer medication at these units.
