Welcome to the Roodepoort Centre for the Elderly – Retirement Village West Rand – the ideal place to retire, and from which you will not want to move again. Roodepoort Centre for the Elderly is located in Discovery (West Rand), a tranquil environment close to amenities, not only for retirees, but also for active individuals who want to enjoy peace and tranquility. Our accommodation includes spacious one and two-bedroom houses, flats, bachelor and one-bedroom apartments, and various rooms in our care and frail care centres. Prospective residents can choose to purchase the following housing by right of life: The residents of apartments and houses are self-sufficient, but the nursing services and emergency rooms of the Centre are at their disposal should they become ill or frail. We also have 2 separate centres that specialises in the caregiving of Dementia residents, where we take extra special care of your loved ones.  Nursing staff also attend compulsory bi-monthly training sessions to keep their skills on par. Not only do we care for our residents by having a nurse onsite, we also care about their well-being with a 24-hour care unit and 24-hour security.  We also cater for loadshedding with a generator to power the whole centre, plus we have several large water tanks in case of water shortages.  To keep costs low, we have our own maintenance team, a laundry room for, among others, centre and apartment dwellers, and transport to and from shopping centres. For your convenience, we also have the following:  part-time physiotherapist, part-time Biokineticist, part-time medical doctor, podiatry services, chapel, cultural and spiritual activities, 2 hair salons, lapa and braai facilities, library, tuck shop, a second hand clothing boutique, community hall, niches and the option for home/flat dwellers to order meals from the dining hall.
