Retirement Village

Sandown Village is a sectional title estate in Manors, Pinetown, designed for people over fifty years of age, set on an eight-hectare estate with landscaped gardens and ponds. It has 141 cottages, which vary in size and each have one or two private garages, and six single-bedroom apartments. The Amenities Centre has a dining room, lounge, library, card room, bar, snooker room and outdoor patio, plus a swimming pool and a hairdresser and part-time manicurist salon. The estate's own Medcare facility provides care for physically and mentally frail residents, palliative care for illnesses such as cancer and advanced heart, lung, kidney and neurological disease, and short or longer-term support for non-residents recovering from an operation or needing respite for their families, with nursing staff and carers on duty and on call 24/7. There is also a free clinic twice a week.
